Offas Dyke Escape, St Asaph

Our stay was exactly what we hoped for! The Cabin is beautifully maintained, comfortable, and equipped with everything you could need. The location is perfect for exploring the area, with plenty of great walks close by. We highly recommend The White House and Dinorben Arms for delicious local meals.

Perfect getaway, exactly what I needed to relax. The owners are great really kind. The pod has everything you need, is very comfortable and has beautiful views you can enjoy from the sofa or hot tub. I look forward to returning sometime.

We were looking for a one off gem for a bit of chill out time and we chose right. What a beautiful place. The pod is so unique and wow, what a view. Watching the sunset from a hot tub high up a hill, fabulous. It was everything we wanted and more. Our hosts were amazing. Lovely people and could not do enough for us. Also, the area around has so many things to do and places to visit, within an hours travel. Amazing place, great hosts, really superb break, can't rate it highly enough.

We stayed for two nights. It was perfect. We only live up the road so will definitely stay again. Cant fault anything. Owners were great, nothing was to much trouble. 10 out of 10.. highly recommend

A lovely couple of nights spent with beautiful views. Lots of places to visit locally or a short drive away. Plenty of local restaurants pubs to visit and recommendations from the hosts were spot on! Ali & Anna were the consummate hosts, and their pod was just wonderful. it was an added bonus to get the short history of its construction & placement. the perfect amount of space, distance and tranquil setting to help me check out in a weekend when i most needed to. a fitting introduction to the bucolic Welsh countryside. i hope to return.

SLIGHT negatives first beware of the stairs up to the bed, they are not easy to negotiate up or down, particularly when you need to get up in the night. The microwave is not a combi oven, just a microwave. We had taken something to oven cook and couldnt but on the plus side we found the local restaurant, The White House, do takeaway so unfortunately had to have that instead

We have just stayed for a long weekend in the pod and it was amazing! ! From the minute we got there we were just taken back by the friendliness of Ali and the info he gave us. The pod itself is magical and really is nothing like you would have stayed in before. The view is awesome and on a clear day to see snowdonia is brilliant. The hot tub is the icing on the cake and after a long day exploring all the sights and recommendations from Ali it is the perfect way to unwind and just take the view in at night with the lights lit up. We absolutely loved our stay and would totally recommend staying here! Thank you for having us.

We had an amazing time at the pod the inside was very individual and unique compared to other places we have stayed. Kitchen facilities were great with everything we needed and everywhere was spotless. Owners were really helpful before and during our stay which we really appreciated. The guest book had lots of information about the local area and was in a great spot for the attractions North Wales has to offer. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The property is very unique, ideal for romantic get aways, location is fantastic with views of snowdonia. Very cosy and warm especially when the sun has been on it all day. Owner very welcoming, beer and prosecco in the fridge plus some other goodies, would definitely recommend.

Got snowed in at this wonderful gem. Cannot fault the place, location is great. Would highly recommend for romantic getaways. Owners are lovely people and not intrusive, they literally cannot do enough for you. Beers and proscecco in the fridge on arrival plus some other goodies. We had a lovely time and will definately be returning. Keep up the good work

Such a beautiful place for some much needed R&R. Our first time in a pod like this and it was gorgeous. So well presented, the view was amazing, and the hot tub was so nice. Ali and family are so lovely, helpful, welcoming. We're already looking forward to our next visit. We'd highly recommend it to anyone. We'd also recommend the Dinorben Arms about 15 minutes drive away, amazing food, lovely atmosphere. If we lived locally we'd be regulars.

I cannot recommend this place enough! ! This was the most amazing stay, the pod was absolutely gorgeous and so different to others. Very romantic and the hot tub was amazing with the most gorgeous views. The location was brilliant, so many things to do near and around and a hand guidebook in the pod to help further if you are looking for any ideas. The owners are so lovely and welcoming, were there if you needed any help or had questions. Looked after us well, and made sure we had the most amazing stay possible. If you are looking to book here, trust me do it!! You will have the best time, I already want to go back!

Our stay was perfect. The owners were lovely, Ali greeted us on arrival. He offered us recommendations of places to visit and eat. The pod was well equipped and a great size. The views from the hot tub were breath taking. Highly recommend watching the sun rise & set, it was beautiful. The Dinorben Arms was a beautiful place to eat just a short 10 minute drive away which we would highly recommend. We would love to come back in the future and would highly recommend to anyone considering a stay here.

We had a brilliant four nights, Ali & Anna were the perfect hosts. The location is perfect for a relaxing getaway, the views are amazing and there are plenty of things to do, all within a short distance. We'll be back. Nick & Ann.

We booked this lovely pod for our first wedding anniversary. The pod was very clean, tidy and comfortable. The hot tub was perfect for the 2 of us, and the views when sat in the tub was simply stunning. We had a lovely bottle of prosecco on arrival, 2 beers, chocolates etc, all provided the owners, which we thought was very kind and thoughtful. The pod had all amenities..TV, shower, fridge, kettle, microwave, cooker etc. On the mezzanine there is a lovely big comfy bed. Off road parking was very handy. The owners provide lots of guidance via the handbook about places to eat, things to do etc locally. They also keep in touch via text, checking in to make sure you're comfy and don't need anything. All in all, 10 stars from us. We would definitely return. Thank you Ali & Anna x

A fantastic and impressive glamping pod with magnificent views of Snowdonia and the coast . The pod was fully equipped with everything we needed and the bottle of prosecco and beers waiting for us on our arrival was a very nice touch as was the milk ,butter bread and Welsh cakes ! It was very easy to find and in a great location for sightseeing and visiting various attractions. Ali was extremely helpful in recommending local pubs , restaurants and places of interest to us. We would definitely visit again.

Arrived at the property to be greeted by one of the owners! Very friendly, as we were new to the area, he gave us plenty of suggestions on what to do. The property had a great facilities and amazing views. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Me and my partner just got home from a fantastic weekend from here and we couldn't recommend it enough! An incredible view from the pod and thankfully the weather was perfect too. An amazing experience and the hosts Ali and Anna really do go beyond making sure your stay is the best it can be! Can't recommend it enough and me and my partner have already said we'll be going back. My ONE thing would be is the shower could be a bit hotter.... But apart from that.... Perfect

Our stay was perfect. The property was beautiful and very clean. The facilities were very modern such as the tv, bathroom, kitchen. The hosts had gifted us with prosecco, beer and snacks which made us feel very welcome. The views of Snowdonia and the sunsets were stunning. We would love to return to this property.

We had a lovely stay. We were a little late arriving but Ali came out to see us and answered any questions we had. The pod was beautiful, very well designed and perfect for our stay. Most definitely the most relaxing weekend we have had for a while!

Amazing property, beautiful countryside views, great location. The lodge was so cosy and comfortable, we loved the woodcladding interiors and its unique character. The hot tub at night was spectacular, with the panoramic views over Wales. Allan and Anna are lovely owners, nothing was too much trouble and helped to direct us when we were lost in the taxi on the way to Offas Dyke. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return!

What a wonderful little place to stay! Breathtaking views, private, and every little thought has gone into making you feel welcome from day one. Hosts were fantastic with some great recommendations on where to go, what to see and where to eat. If you want a break away from it all, then this is a definite place stay! 100 worth more than 5 stars

Weve stayed here before but this time it was dreadful electrics in kitchen not working and hanging off the wall so had to boil the kettle from another plug on the floor no other plug near a table safe to use front door didnt lock property and rear patio door fire exit almost jammed shut and mouldy had to shoulder barge it open shower thermostat not working so shower would only go to warm dead flies and dirt around property upon arrival I followed all guidance on the key collection email and spoke to the lodge receptionist who advised I contact Sykes. I contacted Sykes who said speak to reception which Id already done, so I responded back and they advised I escalate it into a complaint. This was all during the first two days of the holiday and the conversation continued throughout the week. I sent photos to evidence the condition of the property. In fact I sent these more than once as I sent them to the lodge, and to Sykes WhatsApp number and then as part of the complaint. Id heard nothing back so when we got back from our week away, I attempted to escalate it to again. About 6 weeks later I got a reply saying Id not given them a chance to rectify the issues during the stay so they would not compensate me for the issues. I responded with evidence that we had. No reply. So in December, I called them and spoke to someone to explain. She was not especially helpful but said she would escalate it. Got yet another reply saying Id not given them an opportunity to put it right whilst we were away and Id not contacted the owner via the details in the key collection email. I sent them evidence there was no owner details in the key collection email and Id followed the instructions from the email verbatim, and advised at least 3 different people in the first 24 hours of our stay in the lodge. Im yet to hear back. Absolutely furious.

We spent 4 days here and it was perfect,we didnt want to go out exploring so we just enjoyed the hot tub and relaxed in front of the tv! The little hamper of goodies was thoughtful also and we enjoyed the processo! We were both totally mesmerised that the bedroom tv comes out of the floor

We had a great stay , lovely quirky POD with a delightful welcome basket of goodies and beers & Prosecco greatly appreciated. Perfect hot tub to sit and look out at the amazing view . Comfy and cosy with well thought out amenities.The stairs to bed are very different and a challenge but we expected them comfy bed too. Loved feeding and watching the birds as well, directly out the vast window . Note though the listing states combi ovenmicrowave and it is only a microwave, didnt bother us but might be misleading to others. Sad to leave this wonderful place when we had to as so relaxing.

I simply cannot fault this property. I booked this for my partner's 40th birthday treat and it delivered on every level. The views are absolutely stunning even if the weather isn't on your side saying that we were lucky enough to have some overnight heavy rain which was so wonderful in the cosy bed near the ceiling. Ali and Anna are so helpful whenever you need them and they provided such a thoughtful little hamper of treats and essentials on arrival which was perfect for the hot tub the first evening. The views from the hot tub are also exceptional and the bird feeders are just the perfect touch to the sense of being enveloped by nature. 5 star blessed holiday from start to finish. Thank you

Really friendly owners with great recommendations on places to go with a handy book inside with local place to explore. Felt welcomed and very comfy from start to finish. Hot tub was very easy to use and very good along with everything inside and great decor and a great view

This place was a little piece of heaven, a great little getsway that was close enough to everything if you want to venture out, whilst being secluded enough from everything if you wanted to just enjoy peace, quiet and the stunning view. We loved this place and would stay again.
