For a more active holiday, the area is great for walking and cycling with a coastal path going from Colwyn Bay, through Llanddulas and into Abergele, the 177-mile Offa's Dyke pathway, which runs from North to South Wales, the beautiful Clwydian Hill Range and the village of Betws-y-Coed, which is known as the "gateway to Eryri (Snowdonia)'', offering attractions like Zip World and Surf Snowdonia, an artificial wave pool. Also nearby are the beautiful castles of Rhuddlan, Bodelwyddan, Conwy and Caernarfon, and the delightful Victorian town of Llandudno, which is home to shops, eateries, a fantastic dry ski slope and cable car rides over Great Orme.
