We really enjoyed our stay at the writers' retreat. The location is stunning, right on Loch Ewe’s edgeand the village itself has a lovely charm. The hosts made us feel so welcomeand everyone we met was genuinely friendly. The Pool House is definitely worth checking outand the North by Northwest Cafe nearby is pretty interesting. We had some excellent food three times and appreciated that it’s dog friendly too!

We arrived around 4 pm and were warmly greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to our place. The location was breathtaking - right beside a river at the end of Loch Ewe. We even spotted an otter and a seal on our first night! Despite the rain most days, the locals said it’s unusual for this time of year. We went out almost daily and caught some drier weather. The cottage was really cosyand the hot tub was a big highlight. Definitely recommend checking out Poole House, the Russian Convoy Museumand the WW2 sites nearby. Great boat rides too, really enjoyed our stay!
