The Glass House Polruan Reviews

Emma
We had an amazing time staying here! The views are truly stunning and the location couldn't be better. Perfect for our 60th birthday celebration with family and friends. Everyone loved having their own space, yet we could gather easily in the open plan area. The large fridge, 4 ovensand hot tub made it extra special. Would definitely recommend for a big get-together!
Emma
This place has stunning views and is perfectly located. We loved exploring the area and really enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend it for anyone wanting a lovely getaway experience!
Emma
We stayed in a lovely house that's in a pretty convenient spot. The ferry to Fowey is just a short walk awayand the local pubs are really charming. The place is quite well-controlled by the owners; thermostats are locked, hot water isn't always availableand there are instructions everywhere, which can feel a bit much. The hill up to the ferry is quite steep, so not ideal if you've got mobility issues. On the plus side, having a hot tub in the evenings was a real treatand the kitchen was spot-on for cooking. Overall, we had a good time!
James
We had an amazing stay! The house was stunning, with breathtaking viewsand the five en-suites meant everyone had their privacy. Definitely would come back and recommend it to friends. Truly a fantastic place!

Honestly, the photos don't quite capture how lovely this place really is. The build quality, designand fittings are top-notch - it feels quite luxurious. Staying there was a real treat, especially with those breathtaking views and the peaceful surroundings. Just a heads up though, the area has quite a few inclines; most of us enjoyed the walk, but for the older member of our group, it was a bit much. Still, we'd definitely recommend it!
Emma
We loved how spacious this place was! With three generations, there was always somewhere to relax-teenagers in the cinema room, parents in the sauna, twenty-somethings in the hot tuband the older ones enjoying the TV. Thanks a lot!

We've stayed in a fair few holiday homes, but this one really stood out. The location is perfect-quiet corner of Cornwall, yet just a ferry ride away from charming towns, which is much easier than tackling those narrow country roads. There's plenty to keep everyone busy, from beach walks and boat trips to shopping sprees. The views from the house are stunningand the nearby bakery is a real treat. The kids adored the media room and I really enjoyed the sauna. Just a heads up, not ideal for anyone with accessibility needs though.
Alex
We stayed at this lovely house recently and honestly, the photos really don't do it justice. The space is impressive, with big bedrooms and fantastic terraces to enjoy the views. The quality of the fittings is top-notch, especially the sauna which we loved! Polruan itself is charmingand the ferry trip to Fowey is a nice touch. Only thing is, getting around by car can be a bit tricky because of the narrow country lanesand it takes around 20-30 minutes to reach a main road. Still, we'd definitely recommend it for a relaxing break!
Oliver
We had an incredible stay at this lovely house! The space was perfect for our family of three generations, really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The views from most bedrooms are simply stunning and definitely worth waking up for. It's on a hill, but super easy to reach local pubs or catch the ferry to Fowey. Honestly, we'd recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy the Cornish vibe with a bit of wow factor. We're already planning our return, it was that good!
Emma Roberts
The house is lovelyand the neighbourhood is just perfect for everything we needed. Everyone was so welcoming! Just a heads-up about the hills-they're quite steep, so not ideal if you have mobility issues. We had a fantastic stay and the views? Absolutely stunning!
Emma Carter
Stunning place with great views, all the comforts needed for a lovely stay.
James
We loved the stunning view from the house and how bright it was, perched atop a steep hill accessible by footpaths or car. The Lugger pub at the bottom was fab, along with a handy store, bakeryand café. Plus, the foot ferry to Fowey made exploring even better. Definitely a lovely spot!
Emma
We had a really lovely stay at this beautiful house with stunning views over Fowey and the estuary. It comfortably fit our family of 8 and our 2 dogs, which was perfect. The hot tub was a real highlight, especially with the unpredictable British weatherand it's well maintained. Parking is limited to two cars outside, but with the nearby station at Lostwithiel, it's easy for guests coming from London. Polruan is charming but quite steepand the coastal walks plus the foot ferry to Fowey make it a great spot to explore.
Emma Clarke
The house is stunning and in a fantastic spot, just a short walk to the ferry. Getting there by car means navigating some very tight single-track roadsand parking at the house isn't the easiest. Still, we loved it!
James
Honestly, the location is fantastic, with breathtaking views everywhere you look. Just a heads up, the walk back up the steep hill is a proper workout, so make sure you're pretty fit! We loved exploring the cliff top paths that lead to hidden bays, it was such a treat. Taking the foot ferry to Fowey was a real highlight, giving us a taste of the local shops and pubs. Overall, a brilliant spotand we're already planning our return!
Emma
We had an amazing stay at this place, celebrating my parents' 50th wedding anniversary with the family of eight. The house is huge and super clean, so everyone had plenty of space. The hot tub, saunaand cinema really made it feel specialand the views are simply stunning. It's perfect for bigger groups looking for something memorable. Just a heads up, Polruan is quite hilly, so if mobility's an issue, plan accordingly. Overall, we'd definitely recommend it for a special getaway!
Emma S.
Really enjoyed the house, it's in a prime spot. The place could've been cleaner - dusty stairs and cobwebs in the living room. Also, more cutlery and cookware would've been handy, but overall, a lovely stay.
Emily
The place is stunning with breathtaking views, honestly! We loved it. Just a heads up - the driveway fits only two cars, so if you're bringing more, you'll need to find parking nearby. Still, totally worth it!
