Prestatyn Beach is a short drive away. After a day out, nothing beats soaking in your private wood-burning hot tub with a glass of wine. The owners even leave a couple of bottles to get you started!

The cottage sleeps three guests across two ground-floor bedrooms - a king-size with en-suite shower room and a cosy single. There's also a family bathroom with bath and shower. Upstairs, the open-plan living space features a fully-equipped kitchen with all appliances, dining area with breakfast bar and comfortable sitting area with Smart TV and Netflix. Who needs to go out?

Visit Denbigh Castle (15 minutes), explore Chester's Roman Amphitheatre (30 minutes), or wander through the 1950s Museum. Local villages offer excellent pub grub for nights you don't fancy cooking.

If youre looking for your own secluded oasis without paying through the nose, this is it. Tucked away in the North Wales countryside midst stunning scenery, Rising Sun Cottage has everything indoors and outdoors for a relaxing stay. Its the little touches isnt it scented candles, low lights, jacuzzi dressing gowns, Welsh cakes and wine on arrival, all basic condiments and some sauces and icecreams, ice cubes for that first drink, even Scrabble! Its the bigger stuff too Cherry Pie Inn right next door serving homecooked pub grub, the topend jacuzzi itself with air AND hydrojets, very comfy beds and an outdoor area with the feel of being up in the Rocky Mountains my, my, Cherry Pie indeed!. Ok, it is on a busyish road and a Buddha statue in the living area might not be your preference, but for us, that aside, we can see why this received 1010 from Sykes this time last year. Indeed, Sykes continues to be our goto for quality that is affordable in the holiday cottage market. Many thanks and perhaps see you next year!

Had such a lovely stay in the cottage. The outside garden was an lovely extra to be able to have your private space with the added bonas of the hot tub and summer house finished the day of nicely being able to sit outside and watch the sun set surrounded by the lovely smelling plants and lights. The cottage itself was extremely clean and had everything you could possibly need in the kitchen the bed was comfy which made for a good nights sleep. The welcome pack was a nice touch.
Rising sun cottage is an amazing home from home, the cottage is spotless and well placed for driving to local attractions. The welcome pack of wine and Welsh cakes was an added bonus. The hot tub was an added bonus and lovely after a day of sightseeing. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a bit of peace and quiet as it is in the perfect location. The only down side is we wish we could have stayed longer.
Fabulous stay, had everything we needed for us and our young family. Hot tub and BBQ a lovely extra. Indoors, everything was spotless, comfortable and with 2 bathrooms, made our stay extremely comfortable. It's an excellent base to explore the beautiful North Wales coast.

We had a lovely stay at the Rising Sun Cottage. The cottage is clean, comfortable and has everything you would need during your stay. Extras like the robes and welcome gift was a lovely touch. Thank you to the owners who also lit the fire to warm the hot tub up before our arrival upon our request that was very much appreciated. The location is great for lots of exploring. To be honest we didn't venture out much just stayed and enjoyed the garden and hot tub. The summer house was useful in the evenings and we made use of the fire pit too. A lovely place to stay.

The property was wellmaintained and aesthetically pleasing. The cottage was fully equipped, particularly the kitchen, which boasted a comprehensive array of appliances and utensils. The ensuite bathroom was attractive, though the taps presented minor operational challenges. The kingsize bed provided exceptional comfort, resulting in restful sleep. Our stay in Wales was delightful and offered ample opportunities for engagement.

This is a cosy cottage with everything you could possibly need, and more! We had a fabulous weekend, very relaxed, hot tub was lovely and outside area was great. We visited Ruthin which had few quirky shops and cafes, pubs etc. But we were there just to chill but there is lots to do locally if you wish. The Pie inne is couple of mins walk open 12.303.30 and 6.309.30 for food and drinks but fully booked. Book well in advance before arriving Hosts were excellent, there if you needed, but left you to do your own thing, so it was very private. We would return and definitely reccomend.

Incredibly cosy cottage. All the equipment and utensils you will need provided in the kitchen, as well as plenty of storage for your own things. The house itself was immaculate and cosy, definitely a comfortable sleep! 1010, looking forward to staying again.
Really enjoyable stay at the Rising Sun Cottage! Really nicely decorated, comfortable, and a fantastic hot tub. The location was perfect too, with lots of towns within an hours drive with many activities. Ill definitely be recommending to friends and family, and will visit again soon!!

We had an amazing 4 night stay at Rising sun cottage, the cottage itself was so clean and had all you could possibly need. The garden is like a little sanctuary so peaceful and able to sit out in all weathers, we made full use of the hot tub which was so lovely. Tom our autistic son 23 and I had a really lovely stay at this beautifully appointed property. Tom was soon settled in this cosy let, enjoying the multichannel TV and the woodfired hot tub. It was ideally situated for lots of local sights and activities and a lovely place every day to come home to. Lots of positive detail, welcoming 'treats' and everything you might need and more! Owners were close but completely unobtrusive save when I needed them and then Mike was happy to help. Highly recommended!
