The kitchen area has everything a cook needs to prepare a picnic lunch or delicious family favourites to enjoy around the dining table. There are two bedrooms located just off the living area - one is double with plenty of wardrobe space, and the second has bunk beds suitable for both adults and children. This latter room also has a TV. Completing this lovely cabin is a shower room with a waterfall Jacuzzi shower including body jets, a multi-function hand shower, and a WC. Outside, the surroundings are as striking as the cabin, and you will instantly understand why this is such a special place to retreat to and unwind from everyday concerns. A private wood-fired hot tub makes for the perfect place to relax and soothe tired muscles after a day of adventure. Enjoy a sundowner or an evening meal at the table and picnic bench on warm evenings and, if you need a walk then you can explore the surrounding woods. There are plenty of classic Cornish attractions close by including the historic ruins of Penhallam Manor (4.5 miles) with its dog-friendly trail, and the National Trust Georgian townhouse of Lawrence House (12 miles). Cornwall is a walker’s paradise and there are beautiful hiking areas at Efford Beacon (5 miles) or along the South West Coast Path at Caunter Beach and Rane Beach (16 miles).

Acorn Cabin Reviews

Sarah
Honestly, we had such a lovely stay! The cabin was gorgeous, super cosyand fully equipped. The hot tub was a real highlight, especially after a day at the beach. Our kids and dogs adored the woods - they spent ages exploring and playing. The peaceful, secluded setting made everything even better. We’ll definitely come back! xx
Emma
We had an amazing stay at this lovely cabin. The place is spotlessly clean and super cosy, with everything you might need already there-tea, coffee, sugar, even cleaning supplies. Plus, the welcome pack with fizz, Cornish biscuitsand milk was a nice touch. No need to bring your hairdryer or straighteners, as they’re provided. Honestly, we loved it and can’t wait to come back!
Samuel
We had a lovely stay at Acorn Cabin. It’s a super clean, cosy spot away from the hustle and bustle. The wood-fired hot tub was just perfect after exploring Bude, Widemouth Bay, Port Isaac, Padstowand Newquay - all easy to get to. The kitchen had everything we needed for the week. We’re already planning to come back again, can’t wait!
Emily
We had a fantastic stay! The cabin was spotless and really comfy, with a lovely big shower and a hot tub that was perfect after a long walk. There’s plenty of space outside for the dogs to run around, plus indoor games, DVDsand even a telescope - such a thoughtful touch. The owners really thought of everything, from biscuits to Prosecco in the fridge. We’d definitely come back, it’s a little gem!
Emma
We had a lovely stay at Acorn Cabin in the woods. The place is well kitted out and the kids adored the hot tub! Even during storm Ciaran, it was still a cosy spot for some quality family time. Just a heads up - the kitchen lighting is a bit dim, so bringing a head torch is a good idea. The woodland entrance can be a bit tricky to find at first, but overall, a great getaway!
Emma
We really enjoy staying in these cabins. They’re tucked away in a peaceful spot, making it easy to unwind. There’s plenty to explore nearby - from delicious ice cream to fantastic Balti dishes, plus some cool Gin and Rum shops. I’d definitely suggest renting both cabins and inviting family along; it’s perfect for quality time and having loads of space!
Emma
We had such a lovely stay at this cottage! Perfect for our family and dog, with woods nearby for walks, dens to buildand swings for the kids. The hot tub was a real highlight and hearing the animals at night - owls, birdsand foxes - was just magical. We’d definitely come back!
Emma
We quite liked Hilton Wood; it’s peaceful, though the generator was a bit noisy at times! The cabin was okay, but the lighting was dull and made everything a bit gloomy. It would’ve been nice to have coffee tables, hooks, towel railsand an oven glove. Still, it suited our needs overall!
Emma
This cosy cabin is perfect for relaxing, well-equipped, fantastic for walks with dogsand in a lovely peaceful spot.
Alex
We had a lovely stay at the cabin, nestled in such a peaceful, scenic spot. The furniture was really comfyand the Wi-Fi plus smart TV made relaxing even better. Perfect base for day trips, with everything nearby. Only minor issue was the hot tub’s tricky temp control and lack of bubbles or lights. Still, we’d definitely recommend it!
Emma
We loved the peaceful spot of the cabin, perfect for relaxing but still close to Bude and the beaches. It’s got some lovely little touches and plenty of games. The kitchen’s well stocked, but honestly, the mattress wasn’t comfy enough for a proper sleep!
Emma
Comfortable, spaciousand very clean cabin stay!
Oliver
Really enjoyed the peaceful setting, perfect for relaxing with family. Would definitely return!
Alex
This place was just what we needed-peaceful, scenicand close enough to our plans, but still tucked away enough for total relaxation. The hot tub was a highlight, perfect for unwinding with friends, though we did have a laugh trying to get out after a few drinks! Really enjoyed it.
Charlotte
We loved the serene setting and the cosy cabin, perfect for relaxing. The hot tub was a real highlight, especially after a long day. Kitchen had everything we neededand the welcome gift was a sweet touch. Holly and Adam were super helpful with a couple of door issues.
Lucy
We had an amazing time at the cabin! It had everything we needed and felt surprisingly secluded despite the neighbours. We loved exploring the surrounding woodsand the dogs were in their element - they even saw a deer one afternoon, which was pretty special. Soaking in the hot tub while listening to bird song was just perfect. The location is great too, only 15 minutes to the beach or Bude. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone!
Emma
We loved the peaceful setting and the charming location. Sadly, our woodfire hot tub wasn't working, but we could still enjoy the other cabin's hot tub which was a bonus. No iron or board was a bit annoying, but overall, it’s perfect if you're after a quiet escape away from it all!
James
We absolutely loved the Acorn cabin - it’s a real gem! The privacy was perfect, especially with the wood-fired hot tub, which was just fantastic. Plenty of walks, forests, beachesand coastal paths nearby kept us busy. Honestly, it ticks all the boxes and gets a solid 10/10 from us!
Sam
We had a lovely stay at this cosy lodge. It’s spotlessly clean and well equipped, with thoughtful touches like a picnic hamper and wind breakers, which came in handy for trips to Widemouth Bay and Summerleaze. The hot tub in the peaceful garden was a real treatand the surrounding woods made for a perfect dog walk. We also enjoyed using the tea set - it all made for a really relaxing getaway!
Sam
Our stay at Acorn Cabin was fantastic! The peaceful woodland setting made it super relaxingand the place was spotless with everything we needed in the kitchen. The kids loved the bunk beds-they were comfy and had loads of storage. We’d definitely come back!
